What is the "First Choice" network?
It is a community of dental providers—like Woden Dental Care—who have reached an agreement with nib to provide services at set, affordable rates. This ensures you receive high-quality care with lower out-of-pocket costs compared to non-network dentists.
Do I still get 100% back on check-ups?
Many nib extras policies offer 100% back (no gap) on preventative essentials, including an exam, scale, clean, and fluoride treatment. To be eligible, you must have a level of cover that includes "No Gap Preventative Dental" and have served your waiting periods.
What is a "gap" payment?
The "gap" is the difference between what we charge for a service and what nib pays you back. Because we are a First Choice provider, our fees are capped at nib’s agreed rates, which typically results in a much smaller gap for you than at other clinics.
Which other funds are part of this network?
The nib First Choice network also includes members from AAMI, Apia, Suncorp, Qantas Insurance, GU Health, and Priceline Health. If you are with any of these providers, you can enjoy the same "First Choice" benefits at our clinic.
How do I claim my benefit at the clinic?
We offer HICAPS on-the-spot claiming. Simply bring your physical or digital nib membership card to your appointment. We swipe it through our terminal, the nib portion is paid instantly, and you only pay any remaining gap.
